Jean Weeling-Lee

Jean Weeling-Lee holds a Masters in Economics and began his career in 1984 as an economist with the Central Bank of Seychelles, rising to Director-General of Research before being promoted to General Manager on January 1, 1993.  He joined the private sector in 1995 and is currently the Managing Director of Corvina Investment Company Limited, holding director positions in various subsidiaries/associates. He is a director of Le Refuge du Pecheur Ltd, the holding company of Lemuria Resort and Ephelia Resort and sits on the board of LRM Company Limited, the management company of both resorts.  He is also a director of Seychelles Breweries Ltd (a Diageo Plc subsidiary) and Air Seychelles Ltd, the national carrier with Etihad Airways holding a 40% stake.  In 2005, he re-joined the Central Bank as a non-executive board member, a position he held until April 2009.  On July 27, 2009, he was appointed as Chairman of the board of Barclays Bank (Seychelles) Ltd and continues to serve in this role as of date. In May 2014, he was elected a member on the board of the Seychelles Hospitality & Tourism Association and the following July, he was invited to sit on the National Consultative Forum, a high-level body chaired by the President.

Adrian Skerrett

Adrian Skerrett holds a degree in Economics and is a Chartered Management Accountant, resident in Seychelles since 1980 and naturalised since 1994. He is a Director of Corvina Investment Co Ltd and ten other Corvina group companies, five of which he serves as Chairman. He has been a director of H Savy Insurance Co Ltd from 1998 to the present. He is also an author of a number of books about Seychelles and its natural history and is Chairman of Island Conservation Society.

Gerard Adam

Gerard began his career in 1974 as an Engineering Cadet Officer with Unicorn Lines and was trained both on shore and at sea and worked his way through the various ranks and obtained his Marine Engineer Class 1 Certificate of Competency in 1983. He served as Chief Engineer on several of the company’s vessels from 1983 to 1987. He joined Mahe Shipping Company in 1988 as Shipping Manager and was appointed as Managing Director in 1994. He is a director of Corvina Investment Co Ltd also serves as director on various other boards (8) including Land Marine Limited.

Captain David Savy

David is a professional airline pilot who has served as Chief Executive of the national airline Air Seychelles for 14 years before his recent decision to step down. Previously he has held the positions of Director of Operations and Head of Flight Operations.  He has also had a long career with the Seychelles Defence Forces and served as Deputy Chief of Staff before being seconded to the national airline. He has been and still is a director of a number of local and international companies. He is a director/ shareholder of Harry Savy & Company (Sey) Ltd as well as a director of Veling aircraft leasing (www.veling.aero) registered in Mauritius. He has previously served as a director of New Mauritius Hotels, one of the largest hotel groups in the Indian Ocean which is listed on the Mauritius Stock Exchange. David is also the current Chairman of the Seychelles Civil Aviation Authority and a director of the Seychelles Tourist Board.

Derek Wong

Derek joined the board in July 2014. He holds a BSc in Computer Science and Accounting and began his career with Ireland Blyth Limited (IBL) of Mauritius in April 1993 as an Analyst Programmer. He relocated to the UK in 1996 on accounting training with Cohen Arnold & Co Accountants for two years to pursue ACCA professional qualifications before re-joining IBL in July 1998 in the post of Accountant. In 2001, he was promoted to Group Accountant and served in this capacity until January 2007 when he assumed the role of Group Finance Manager.

In July 2014, Derek vacated his senior finance position with IBL to take on the post of Managing Director of Mauritian Eagle Insurance.
