David is a professional airline pilot who has served as the Chief Executive Officer of the national airline Air Seychelles for 14 years. He has also had a long career with the Seychelles Defence Forces and served as Deputy Chief of Staff before being seconded to the national airline. He has been - and still is - a director of a number of local and international companies. He is a director/ shareholder of Harry Savy & Company (Sey) Ltd as well as a director of Veling aircraft leasing registered in Mauritius. Captain David Savy is also the current Chairman of Skychef and the Seychelles Civil Aviation Authority.
Jean Weeling-Lee holds a Master’s degree in Economics. He began his career in financial services with the Central Bank of Seychelles in 1984 before joining the private sector in 1995. Jean is one of the founding members of H Savy Insurance and he has held the post of Chairman of the HSI Board of Directors for more than a decade. Throughout the past 27 years, he has served the company in different capacities. Jean currently holds director positions in various subsidiaries/associates.
Adrian holds a degree in Economics and is a Chartered Management Accountant, resident in Seychelles since 1980 and naturalised since 1994. He is a Director of Corvina Investment Co Ltd and ten other Corvina group companies, five of which he serves as Chairman. He has been a director of H Savy Insurance Co Ltd from 1998 to the present. Adrian is also an author of a number of books about Seychelles and its natural history and is Chairman of Island Conservation Society.
Gerard Adam began his career in 1974 as an Engineering Cadet Officer with South African shipping company Unicorn Lines, where he was trained both onshore and at sea. Gerard then worked his way through the various ranks, and eventually obtained his Marine Engineer Class 1 Certificate of Competency, in 1983. He served as Chief Engineer on several of the company’s vessels from 1983 to 1987 before shifting his career back to the Seychelles landscape. Gerard joined Mahe Shipping Company in 1988 as Shipping Manager and was appointed as Managing Director in 1994. In 2018 Gerard was appointed as Chairman of Mahe Shipping. He is also director of Corvina Investment Co Ltd and also serves as director on various other boards (8) including Land Marine Limited.
Winson started his career in the insurance industry in 1995 with the Mauritius Union Assurance. He currently holds the positions of Chief Underwriting Officer at Eagle Insurance Ltd as well as Executive Director at Speciality Risks Solutions Ltd and Director at Eagle Investment Property Ltd. He is a Chartered Insurer and member of The Insurance Institute of Mauritius and The Insurers’ Association of Mauritius.
Rod Thorrington holds a degree in Finance from the University of South Africa. He emigrated to Seychelles in 2004, becoming naturalised in 2011. Rod has successfully built a number of Seychelles startups across various sectors such as retail, entertainment and distribution whilst also serving as a consultant to various private investment groups in Seychelles for many years. Rod is an independent director of Seychelles Breweries and ABSA Bank Seychelles. He is currently the CEO of Corvina Investment Company and serves as a director on several associated company boards.
