Graduating student Harini Naidu wins the S4S Colleen Morel Environmental Science Achievement award for 2021.
The Environmental Science graduate received the SCR 10,000 award sponsored by H Savy Insurance during a short ceremony at H Savy Insurance Kingsgate Office, on Friday 25 June 2021.
This followed UniSey’s graduation ceremony on Thursday 24th June, which for the first time this year, took place virtually in view of the ongoing Covid-19 restrictions.
During the graduation ceremony Harini who received a First Class degree was also honoured as the best performer in her course.
“The past three years, has been quite challenging, but with determination and the support from my lecturers and family I have been able to excel in my studies,” said Harini.
“Winning two awards at the end of my degree is certainly a great achievement and I feel so proud of what I’ve accomplished. As a best performer I have been awarded with a government scholarship to pursue my masters, after that I hope to join the environment sector focusing on policy and environmental management,” she added.
The S4S Colleen Morel Environmental Science Achievement award recognizes students who have shown exemplary contributions to their field of study and to the university.
Harini is the second UniSey student to be rewarded this year with the special S4S environmental award.
